Quickly prepared beer-bread.


  • 1 bottle lager beer
  • 300g wholemeal wheat flour
  • 300 g wholemeal spelt flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 sachet cream of tartar
  • freshly ground bread seasoning (coriander, caraway, fennel…)

I’ve been looking for a simple and fast bread recipe for some time, and this is it. It’s easy and quickly prepared. Thank you for the recipe Basti and Johanna!

Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the beer an mix well – you can use your hands or kitchen machine. Put the mixture into a greased form pan. Smoothen the surface with some water if necessary. Garnish with nuts and/or kernels as you like. Bake 50-60 minutes at 200° (convection oven 180°). Ready!
